The Origin Story
Every place has a soul. Listen to the whispers of the past and the rhythm of the present.
“Thailand's Guilin — karst peaks and a million bats at dusk.”
Noen Maprang district, about 70 km southeast of Phitsanulok city, is one of Thailand's most underrated natural wonders. Towering karst limestone peaks burst dramatically from the flat rice paddies, creating a landscape so stunning it's earned the nickname 'Guilin of Thailand.' The area's most famous spectacle is the daily bat exodus at Khao Chang Phueak cave: every evening at dusk, approximately one million wrinkle-lipped bats stream out in a swirling column that can stretch for 30 minutes. The surrounding countryside is dotted with homestays, small temples, and viewpoints perfect for photography.
A district of dramatic karst limestone mountains rising from rice paddies, often compared to Guilin in China. Come at sunset to witness a million bats streaming out of their cave in a spectacular natural display.
