The Origin Story
Every place has a soul. Listen to the whispers of the past and the rhythm of the present.
“Cheap, authentic, and wildly popular with locals.”
Every evening from around 4 PM, the area in front of Phitsanulok's charming old train station transforms into a bustling food market that locals swear by. This is where Phitsanulok residents come after work for affordable, home-style Thai food — rich curries ladled over rice, smoky grilled pork skewers, fiery som tam, and an amazing selection of traditional Thai desserts. Prices are incredibly low (20-40 baht for a full meal), and the food quality is excellent because the clientele is almost entirely local. The historic station building itself, with its classic Thai railway architecture, makes a beautiful backdrop. Bring cash — no cards accepted.
